It's less than two weeks until we depart for our WYD Pilgrimage to Portugal and Spain and the excitement is growing!! We've been collecting final paperwork for pilgrims, collecting items to trade with other pilgrims, approving t-shirt designs, packing and re-packing our backpacks and cramming in some last minute reading about Our Lady of Fatima.
We've also been spiritually preparing for our pilgrimage by doing the Preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus through the Blessed Virgin Mary according to St. Louis de Montfort. We are on day 16 of our 33 day preparation, ending on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15th. Each day pilgrims read the meditation and pray the prayers on their own, and we meet on Sundays after youth group to pray together. It's not too late to join us! You can pray along with us at:
Preparation for Total Consecration
We are hoping to be able to update our blog regularly during our pilgrimage to update you! This pilgrimage would not have been possible without all of your prayers and financial support. We are so grateful to our families and parish family for all they have done for us over the past year. Out of our gratitude we would like to carry your prayer intentions with us each day of our pilgrimage. We have left slips of paper and a box in the narthex of the Church to collect your prayer requests. We will make sure someone carries the petitions each day of our journey and that pray for the desires of your heart.
